This is the second tutorial in the PowerPoint Basics series. It explains the main components of the PowerPoint window and how each area is used.

01. PowerPoint Window Overview

When you launch PowerPoint and open a new file, you will see several UI components. Some are always visible, while others appear depending on your actions.

① Quick Access Toolbar

This area contains frequently used functions such as AutoSave, Save, Undo, Repeat, and Slide Show. Users can customize this toolbar to include additional commands.

② Title

The title area displays the name of the PowerPoint file.

③ Menu Tabs

Menu tabs group related functions such as Home, Insert, and Slide Show.

④ Ribbon Menu

The Ribbon Menu displays tools related to the selected tab. It can be collapsed or expanded.

⑤ Slide Tab

This area shows all slides and allows duplication, deletion, and navigation.

⑥ Slide Pane

The main workspace where you design your presentation using text, shapes, images, charts, and media.

⑦ Notes Pane

You can add speaker notes here. These notes can also be printed.

⑧ Format Task Pane

This panel appears when needed and allows detailed formatting of objects.

⑨ Status Bar

Displays information such as slide count and language settings.

⑩ View Area

Allows switching between different views and adjusting zoom.
